Our company provides you with different types of Faraday Cages, according to your MRI machine and the site’s specific installment requirements:
The manual door of the enclosures is typically made of aluminum and is specifically designed to resist demanding operational conditions without suffering structural deflections. Special care is given to the “sticky-fingers” contacts around the perimeter of the door, which guarantee shielding effectiveness, being properly protected to avoid tampering and accidental failures. Furthermore, the door has a 180° opening, thus facilitating access of stretchers in the MRI room. It is lightweight, easily operable, requires low maintenance and has excellent shielding characteristics. Automatic doors made of non-magnetic stainless steel are also available for MSB and WSB versions.
The operator window (not needed for the OSB version) is manufactured with a double layer of steel mesh within a metal frame with associated glass panels for extra protection. This construction minimizes the moiré pattern distortion and guarantees transparent-like views. Dimming windows are also available.
The Faraday cages are provided with electric and lighting system, helium pipe (where needed) and a set of accessories that make patient’s imaging experience more comfortable such as CCTV, intercom-systems, LED lights, visual therapy panels, video-projectors, audio systems.
Multi Shielding Box
Faraday cage for High Field MRI and PET/MRI Systems
Proven quality at affordable costs
The most complete multi-layer shielding capabilities for different end user’s need
The Multi Shielding Box (MSB) is an EMI/RFI shielding enclosure (Faraday cage) used in MRI installations. It is realized with modular RF-shielding panels and offers the most complete multi-layer shielding capabilities for different end user’s needs.
By using predefined standard size RF panels, made of amagnetic stainless steel and bolted in a rigid, self-standing, flexible to mount structure, the MSB allows a cost effective shielding of the MR equipment, yet guaranteeing state-of-the-art and proven quality of the RF shielding and noise suppression.
Optional shielding layers can be added to the enclosure to provide magnetic shielding, increased acoustic shielding and ionizing radiations shielding, as in the case of the MRI/PET systems.
Interior finishing panels and accessories complete the functional features of the MSB with aesthetic and relaxing appearance for the comfort of patient and operator.
Closed Shielding Box
Faraday Cage for Medium and High Field MRI Systems
Proven quality noise suppression
It is realized with modular RF-shielding panels and offers advanced shielding capabilities
The Closed Shielding Box (CSB) is an EMI/RFI shielding enclosure (Faraday Cage) used in MRI installations. It is realized with modular RF-shielding panels and offers advanced shielding capabilities for different end user’s needs.
The CSB allows a state-of-the-art and proven quality of the RF shielding and noise suppression. By using a mix of predefined standard size and custom RF panels, made of aluminum and bolted in a rigid, self-standing, flexible to mount structure, the CSB can be adapted to all sizes of the MRI room.
Optional shielding layers can be added to the enclosure to provide magnetic shielding and increased acoustic shielding.
Interior finishing panels and accessories complete the functional features of the CSB with aesthetic and relaxing appearance for the comfort of patient and operator.
Open Shielding Box
Faraday Cage for Low-Medium Field Open MR Systems
Adaptable to all sizes of the MRI room
The aluminium panels allow direct visual and verbal contact with the patient.
The Open Shielding Box (OSB) is an EMI/RFI shielding enclosure (Faraday Cage) used for low-medium field open MRI installations (up to 0.4 T). It is realized with modular RF-shielding panels and offers a cost effective shielding for different end user’s needs.
The OSB allows a state-of-the-art and proven quality of the RF shielding. By using a mix of predefined standard size and custom RF panels, made of powder-coated aluminum and bolted in a rigid, self-standing, flexible to mount structure, the OSB can be adapted to all sizes of the MRI room. Fast installation time (2 days on average) and possibility of relocating the enclosure complete the functional features of the OSB.
The aluminium panels are perforated and create a “hear-through” and “see-through” environment, so eliminating patients’ sense of confinement and feeling of anxiety that may occur in traditional shielding rooms and enhancing communication between patient and operator.
Moreover, self-supporting and perforated panels do not require attachments to the parent building or dedicated ventilation-lighting systems, thus lowering the total cost of ownership of the MRI site.
Welded Shielding Box
Faraday Cage for High, Ultra High Field MRI and Intraoperative MRI Systems
The best shielding performance
he tailor-made type of assembly allows adapting the shielding to virtually any shape and size of room.
The Welded Shielding Box (WSB) is an EMI/RFI shielding enclosure (Faraday Cage) used in MRI installations. It is realized with custom RF-shielding panels and offers the best RF shielding and noise suppression capabilities for the most challenging end user’s needs.
The WSB panels are made of a double Aluminum-Amagnetic Stainless Steel layer, internally padded with polyurethane for basic noise suppression, welded together, thus creating a rigid, self-standing structure.
The tailor-made type of assembly allows adapting the shielding to virtually any shape and size of room. The on-site cutting and assembly does not require any customization activity in the factory.
This feature enables to use this enclosure also in operating rooms for Intraoperative MRI systems.
Optional shielding layers can be added to the enclosure to provide ionizing radiation shielding, magnetic shielding and increased acoustic shielding.
Interior finishing panels and accessories complete the functional features of the WSB with aesthetic and relaxing appearance for the comfort of patient and operator.
